Henrique's PhD research focused on developing alternative recycling strategies for spent lithium-ion batteries. From leaching media to electrolyte or polymer components, hydroxylated solvents were the core of integrated processes, such as electrochemically-assisted leaching or absorption of metals using ionic polymers. PhD course in Chemical Engineering (Deakin, AUS). Co-supervision in collaboration with Cristina Pozo-Gonzalo (CSIC, ES), Jenny Pringle (Deakin, AUS), João Coutinho (UA, PT).
